A ‘dream boy’ called Modi…

When the national capital was receiving unexpected showers on the Sunday morning, there was a place burning with a synchronized and rhythmic chanting of the Modi mantra! Yes, the word ‘Modi’ has become quite abuzz nowadays. Terms such as Modi magic and Modi effect have found a charged presence in various channels of media and press. People in power say that Modi is a difficult nut to crack. Journalists perceive him as a difficult beast to tame. Whatever is the image of this popular political icon today, but the fearless and determined Modi showcased his rhetorical skills again in a massive rally at Japani Park in Rohini on Sunday. Modi has been marketed by social media, press and the BJP itself in such a way that he has become a hot topic of discussion in almost every educational institution and rural suburb. Modi has become a ‘dream boy’ from being a ‘poster boy’ of BJP after being nominated as the prime ministerial candidate of BJP. The continuous failure of the ruling party in meeting the expectations of the common man has also fostered the image of Modi as a ‘dream boy’. He is a bright burning lamp for the poor man who has been lingering in stark darkness and pain since independence. For the aspiring middle class, Modi is a rising sun in whom you and I perhaps see the potential to make the small dreams come true.
Above all, the country needs a strong leader today who can not only pull the country out of the present dark abyss of fiscal deficit and economic degradation but also promise a strong and independent military power capable of taking bold decisions to smash the face of ‘cowardly terrorist acts’. Today, a large chunk of national population is divided into pro-Modi and anti-Modi, but even the latter category would like to have a strong PM who could be different and better than the present one! One who could emerge as a strong leader, independent visionary and capable of taking his/her own stands. There is no denying in the fact that the present PM is just an illusory person in power acting like a cog in a wheel and not like the wheel himself!
However, only time will decide that whether Modi’s rising popularity will yield some concrete results or this entire ‘dream boy’ image is just an illusion by the rapidly mushrooming social media.
